Pork Pie (Tourtiere)

This traditional French-Canadian pork pie is a recipe that Dave’s mom has made every Christmas that he can remember. Pork pie is a bit misleading because it also has ground beef in addition to ground pork. We are doing this traditional dish Root Down Market style with local beef, local pork, Maine potatoes and Rustic Roots Farm onions and garlic, and all the savory seasonings we can jam inside. Our pie crust is made with Maine Grains making it a true all local Christmas dish! We are also including a side of house-made cranberry sauce with fresh Maine cranberries!
